Pre-Wedding Photoshoots, Why I Think They’re Great!
July 12, 2021Something that I am quite passionate about and really would like to do more of, is a ‘pre-wedding photoshoot’, as there’s many benefits to doing so.
For instance, quite often when a couple books with me, we would have only met through technology i.e phone or video call, so this is a great way to actually meet each other prior to the big day, in person!
It’s also a lovely way to just enjoy the run up to the wedding day. It’s no word of a lie that planning a wedding can be incredibly stressful because let’s face it, they’re pretty expensive. So why not have some fun and capture the pre-wedding feels!
No one (unless you are a tv personality?) is really used to being in front of a camera for a significant amount of time and it is completely normal to feel weird about it. This is a great opportunity to get a sense of what it’s like to be photographed and for anyone who has been photographed by me before, knows I’ll do my best to make you feel at ease and laugh (sometimes at my own dignities expense - hello terrible jokes).
Your couple shoot can double up as a venue visit if you wish, especially if that venue is a significantly large place. Or you can go the other way and pick somewhere really unique, I know I have a castle ruins shoot in the pipeline and that makes me VERY excited!
It’s also a great opportunity for me to test new equipment and generally be active taking photos after what feels like a lifetime of not being able to!! I’m SO keen to get out on location again, that I want to give every client this year a complimentary couple shoot*, if you don’t have one included yet!
